Terms of Service

Welcome to AuraScanner. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AuraScanner mobile application, website at https://aurascans.app, and related services (together, the "Service"), provided by Isaac Company, operated by Wei Jun Xie ("we," "our," or "us").

By downloading or using AuraScanner, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use AuraScanner. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Description of the Service

AuraScanner is an AI-powered application that:

Analyzes selfies and images you upload.
Generates an "Aura Score" from 0 to 100 across categories such as attractiveness, confidence, approachability, style, status and lifestyle, and photo quality.
Provides written breakdowns, vibe reads, improvement tips, and an AI-generated "Level-Up" preview image.
Saves your scan history on your own device and lets you optionally share results.

AuraScanner is an entertainment and self-improvement product. All AI-generated scores, verdicts, and images are subjective outputs of machine-learning models and are not medical, psychological, dermatological, cosmetic, or professional advice. You should not rely on the Service for any critical decisions about your health, appearance, or wellbeing.

3. No Account Required

AuraScanner does not use accounts or logins. You can use the app immediately, and your scans, photos and settings are stored on your own device. A paid subscription is tied to your Apple ID through the App Store, and your usage allowance for the current billing period is tracked against that subscription using an anonymous identifier provided by Apple. We may restrict access to the Service where these Terms are violated or the Service is misused.

4. User Content

"User Content" means any photos, text, or other material you submit to the Service.

You retain ownership of your User Content.
By uploading User Content, you grant AuraScanner a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to transmit, process, and display it solely for the purpose of operating the Service (including sending it to our AI processors to generate your results).
You represent that (a) you own or have all rights necessary to upload the content, (b) it is your own likeness or you have permission from the person depicted, and (c) it does not violate any law or third-party right.

You must not upload:

Photos of other people without their consent.
Photos of minors in any sexualized, exploitative, or inappropriate context.
Nudity, sexually explicit content, or pornography.
Content that is violent, hateful, harassing, discriminatory, or unlawful.
Content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
Malware, exploits, or automated scraping content.

We reserve the right to remove any User Content and to restrict access to the Service where this section is violated.

5. AI-Generated Results Disclaimer

AI outputs are automatically generated and may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or offensive.
Scores are subjective and are provided for entertainment and personal reflection only.
The "Level-Up" image is a stylized AI illustration, not a prediction of real-world results, and does not represent a medical, cosmetic, or surgical outcome.
Do not use AuraScanner to make decisions about medical procedures, mental health, relationships, employment, or any matter with meaningful real-world consequences.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

a) Free Scan

New users receive one (1) free scan per device. The free scan shows your overall Aura Score, your tier, and your percentile. The category breakdown, the written verdict, improvement tips, and Level-Up previews are locked, as are any further scans. A paid subscription unlocks them.

b) Subscription Plans

AuraScanner Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription:

Weekly Plan — flat weekly pricing.
Annual Plan — flat annual pricing.

No free trial is offered. Both plans begin charging at purchase. Each plan includes a set allowance of scans and Level-Ups per billing period, which is shown in the app. Exact prices and billing frequency are shown in-app before you confirm the purchase.

c) Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple App Store account settings.

d) Payment Processing

Purchases are made through the Apple App Store and are processed by Apple under Apple's terms. We never see or store your payment details.

e) Refunds

Purchases are subject to Apple's refund policy. Please request refunds directly through Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. Contact mrimcooler@gmail.com for any refund inquiries.

f) Price Changes

We may change subscription prices from time to time. We will notify you in advance and, where required by law, obtain your consent for the new price.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Service.
Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service.
Circumvent rate limits, usage allowances, paywalls, or security features.
Use the Service to build a competing product.
Use the Service in violation of any applicable law.

8. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the Service, including software, design, trademarks, logos, and content we provide (excluding your User Content), belong to AuraScanner or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates third-party services (Apple, Anthropic, OpenAI, and others). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers.

10. Termination

You may delete your photos or reset all app data at any time from within the app (Profile → Your data), and you may cancel your subscription in your App Store settings.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any prepaid amounts, except where required by law.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., disclaimers, limitations of liability, intellectual property, and dispute resolution) will remain in effect.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT AI-GENERATED SCORES, TIPS, VERDICTS, OR IMAGES ARE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. YOU USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK AND FOR ENTERTAINMENT ONLY.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL AURASCANNER, ITS AFFILIATES, OR ITS LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) TWENTY-FIVE US DOLLARS ($25).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AuraScanner and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your use of the Service, (b) your User Content, or (c) your violation of these Terms or any law.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the courts of the Province of Ontario, Canada, except where mandatory local law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your own country of residence.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date and, if the changes are material, notify you within the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Apple-Specific Terms (iOS Users)

If you download AuraScanner from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

These Terms are between you and AuraScanner only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service.
In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple; Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation.
Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Service, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or intellectual property claims.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
